Country stars joins rockers on stage July 1-2

Carrie Underwood joined Guns N’ Roses onstage for two songs during each of their July 1st and 2nd shows at the UK’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Underwood, who was in London this past week to promote her new album, Denim & Rhinestones, joined the rockers during “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.”

In April, Underwood made headlines when she welcomed Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose as a special guest during her headline performance at the Stagecoach Festival.

“Welcome to the greatest night of my life! Give it up for Axl Rose,” Underwood told the crowd after singing the first verse of “Child” at Stagecoach. Following the song, Underwood yelled, “You thought we were finished?” as the band kicked off the iconic guitar riff to “Paradise City.”

It was the first time she had performed with one of her heroes, although she’s covered multiple GNR songs in concert.

Underwood’s Denim debuted as the No. 1 country album in the UK. It marked her 10th consecutive career Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart for all genres.

Underwood recently announced her new US arena tour, The Denim & Rhinestones Tour, with dates in fall 2022 and spring 2023. Underwood will be joined on the trek by special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates. Additionally, $1 from each ticket sold for the tour will be contributed to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. She recently completed her 2022 dates for her ongoing Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency at the Resorts World Theatre. She will return to Resorts World Las Vegas to resume her residency in 2023, following the tour. 2023 dates for Reflection will be announced at a later date.
