Pair perform together for a fourth time in less than a year

Carrie Underwood welcomed Axl Rose to the stage for a surprise performance of Guns N Roses “Welcome To The Jungle” last night (Mon, Mar 13th) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The stop was part of her 43-city arena tour, The Denim & Rhinestones Tour.

Near the end of her nearly two-hour set, Underwood proceeded to bring the full house down with a surprise appearance by the GNR frontman, who joined her for an electric performance of the band’s iconic “Welcome to the Jungle,” which Underwood usually performs on her own as her first encore. The pair first caused a frenzy last year with a surprise appearance during Underwood’s headlining Stagecoach set and she would later join the band for two 2022 performances at UK’s Tottenham Hotspur Arena.

“I’m the luckiest girl in the world…” she shares on social media. “Thanks, Axl, for showing up, once again, to make the great times even better! It’ll forever feel like it was all a dream, but these dreams are my favorite ones!”

A critical and commercial smash, the tour will play Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center and Portland’s MODA Center before wrapping Friday, March 17th at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena. Underwood is joined on The Denim & Rhinestones Tour by special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates. The tour is promoted by AEG Presents.

Last week, the country superstar surprised fans for her 40th birthday with the release of “Out Of That Truck.” Underwood co-wrote the track with David Garcia and Lydia Vaughn. The track is her first new music since her 2022 album, Denim & Rhinestones.

“It’s not an aggressive song at all, so it’s like, we didn’t wanna push it there, but just wanted it to move and have some energy,” she shares of the track. “I have an affinity for guitars, so it was just kind of one of those wanting it to take you somewhere and sing along with it. It’s just kind of a cool vibe, kind of looking at doing a country truck song in a different kind of way, just wanted it to be moving and kind of a bit of a tempo song.”

This summer, Underwood returns to Las Vegas for another year of her Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency at Resorts World Theatre. Eighteen new show dates have been announced for the exclusive Las Vegas production, produced by Concerts West/AEG Presents.
