Celine Dion cancels 5 Vegas shows due to vocal chord problems

Celine Dion has canceled five performances during her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas due to “cute inflammation and swelling in the muscles adjacent to her vocal chords.”

“After experiencing prolonged discomfort in her throat area,” the pop star’s website states, “Celine was examined by her physicians this afternoon. They discovered acute inflammation and swelling in the muscles adjacent to her vocal chords, and have prescribed anti-inflammatory medication and instructed her to rest her voice for the next 8 days.”

The following performances have been canceled:

  • Wednesday, July 30th
  • Friday, August 1st
  • Saturday, August 2nd
  • Tuesday, August 5th
  • Wednesday, August 6th

Regularly scheduled performances beginning Friday, August 8th will resume as planned, including the following dates:

Aug: 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30, 31

Dion, Caesars Palace, and AEG apologize for any inconvenience this causes ticket holders, but are not responsible for any travel arrangements related to the cancellation of any of these, or possible future, performances.

Ticket holders are subject to refund. Credit card orders will be refunded automatically while those who purchased with cash need to present their tickets to the original point of sale for a refund.
