Chris Brown drops ‘Residuals’ video

The rapper is nominated for three Grammys in 2025

Grammy-winning global superstar Chris Brown drops the official video for his Grammy-nominated single โ€œResiduals.โ€ The fan-favorite track topped the rhythmic radio charts, marking the superstar with the third most No. 1s in the format with 15. โ€œResidualsโ€ is also Brownโ€™s 57th top 10 on Billboardโ€™s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, which earns him the spot of second most of all artists and top among primary singers. Brown has had at least one top 10 single on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart each year since 2010. On top of this, โ€œResidualsโ€ hit a new peak on Billboardโ€™s Hot 100 chart at the end end of last year at No. 69 but is still currently sitting at 76.

This release follows the news that Brown garnered 17 more RIAA certifications to wrap up last year โ€“ including Brownโ€™s first RIAA diamond-certified single for โ€œNo Guidanceโ€ featuring Drake and his albums Indigo and Breezy receiving triple platinum and gold certifications, respectively. Brown is in the top 10 of all artists across all genres with the most multi-platinum certifications.

In addition to these incredible new accolades, Brown is also nominated for three 2025 Grammy Awards for the following: Best R&B Album โ€“ 11:11 (Deluxe), Best R&B Performance โ€“ โ€œResiduals,โ€ and Best African Music Performance โ€“ โ€œSensationalโ€ featuring Davido & Lojay. In total, spanning across Chris Brownโ€™s entire career, he has earned 25 Grammy nominations.

Throughout his career, Brown has continued to break records โ€“ even his own โ€“ and received a plethora of accolades. Chris Brown currently stands as the R&B singer with the most Hot 100 entries in Billboard history to date.
