Chris Brown, Iggy Azalea, Pharrell top the Music Choice MC100 song list

Music Choice counted down the top 100 songs of 2014 with the multi-platform video and music network’s 3rd annual, five-part special called “MC 100.” Over the course of five consecutive nights, the full catalog of this year’s biggest hits from today’s hottest artists like Iggy Azalea, Chris Brown, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, and Florida Georgia Line were revealed. “MC 100” premiered on Music Choice Play starting November 22nd and ran through the 26th at 9PM ET/PT, before being made available on MC Video On Demand and on Music Choice’s Hit List Music Channel—in its entirety—on November 26th. Clare Galterio (Music Choice Play “You & A” host) and Ralphie Aversa (New York’s 95.5 PLJ radio host) serve as hosts of the show.

Unlike other “Best of…” or year-end round up lists, a song’s ranking on Music Choice’s “MC 100” is determined by the number of MC Video On Demand orders by users, its rotation on MC Music Channels, viewer interactions and requests via MC’s viewer cultivated linear channel Music Choice Play, and the artist’s impact on pop culture through social media. With over 57 million listeners and 1.1 billion annual video views, Music Choice is the ultimate destination for the best in music and video content and illustrates what songs and videos consumers actually want to hear or see rather than what programmers tell them they should hear or watch.
