Chris Janson notches fifth Country Airplay Top 10

“Done” climbs the charts

Platinum-selling recording artist and award-winning singer/songwriter Chris Janson is far from “Done” at country radio as his current single rises into the Top 10 this week. Dubbed one of the “hottest songs of summer” for its “undeniable chorus” (Taste of Country), “Done” marks Janson’s fifth Top 10 entry on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. Co-written alongside Mitch Oglesby, Jamie Paulin ad Matt Roy, the single has earned praise for its “stately tempo, expressive vocal, rolling-similes lyric, swirling production and emotional heft” (MusicRow).

Described as “rich and full of depth” (Rolling Stone), “Done” pulled in 1.2 million streams in the last week alone. Janson has performed the single on both The Kelly Clarkson Show and NBC TODAY. The song’s family-centric music video has also connected with fans, boasting more than five million views. The “standout” (The Tennessean) track follows No. 1 smash “Good Vibes” from his 2019 album Real Friends. The gold-certified single continues to be a favorite as it tops 100 million on-demand streams.

Before “Done” and “Good Vibes” came Janson’s debut smash “Buy Me A Boat.” The perennial favorite has officially been certified 3x platinum. Known as one of Nashville’s most industrious and tenacious artist, Janson wrote, recorded and released “Buy Me A Boat” before signing with Warner Music Nashville. An organic fan reaction, spurred on by support from industry leaders such as Bobby Bones, led the single to No. 1 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart and drives it to great heights still today.

When he isn’t working on new music, the Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s ambassador is encouraging families to explore the great outdoors together. Recently he and Bobby Bones hit a Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World together to compete in the Great Outdoor Challenge for Dad (via Circle Sessions). Janson and his son Jesse continue to participate in the “Gone Fishing” campaign, challenging families everywhere to get off the couch and discover the fun of fishing this summer. This summer Bass Pro Shops donated more than 55,000 rods and reels to nonprofit youth organizations nationwide to help get more kids outside.
