Music Row’s Song of the Year “Drunk Girl” nearing Top 15

Chris Janson performed for a sold out crowd recently at Opry City Stage in Times Square for an episode of public television’s groundbreaking concert series, Front and Center, the first ever episode filmed at the iconic venue. Janson, the newest and youngest living member of the Grand Ole Opry, captivated the high-spirited audience with a rollicking 75-minute set, performing No. 1 singles “Buy Me a Boat” and “Fix a Drink,” as well as his newest single “Drunk Girl,” which was named Music Row’s “Song of the Year” and is nearing the Top 15 on the country airplay charts. The episode will air during Front and Center’s upcoming ninth season.

Janson is a high-octane entertainer, multi-instrumentalist and award-winning artist. His sophomore album, Everybody, produced his second No. 1 hit single, “Fix A Drink,” the chart-topping follow up to his No. 1 debut smash and summer anthem, “Buy Me A Boat.” Janson closed out the 53rd ACM Awards with what Rolling Stone called a “must-see performance.” Janson is currently on the “Life’s Whatcha Make It Tour” with Jake Owen, as well as doing his own headlining dates.

Since 2012, Front and Center has presented some of the music world’s best artists, combining intimate performances with behind the scenes interviews. The show will return in 2019 with a fresh line-up of Grammy award-winners, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, Billboard chart toppers, CMA winners, and emerging artists.
