Chris Janson takes ‘Done’ to No 1

Song is latest to summit to top of charts

Platinum-selling recording artist and award-winning singer/songwriter Chris Janson returns to the summit of the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his latest hit single “Done.” The “fine storytelling” (Taste of Country) that has resonated with fans stems from the real-life moment when Janson met his wife. A champion for up-and-coming songwriters, he penned the “true country excellence” (MusicRow) of his own love story alongside first-time chart-toppers Mitch Oglesby, Jamie Paulin and Matt Roy.

“The moment I first saw my wife Kelly, I knew that was it. I was done,” Janson shares. “This song is about knowing right then and there that I’d work for the rest of my life to make her happy. It’s just the truth. That’s why it’s so special. A big thanks and congratulations to my co-writers Mitch, Jamie and Matt for helping make this song come to life. And, of course, to country radio for sharing it with the world.”

“Done” has earned upwards of 35 million streams and is the second consecutive Billboard No. 1 for Janson, following the gold-certified smash “Good Vibes.” He most recently shared the song’s message of positivity in a performance on the CMA Summer Stay-Cay virtual special. The multi-instrumentalist also joined CMA / CMA Foundation for its Summer Music Camp, an initiative that engages musicians and music teachers to lead a variety of online sessions. Janson’s harmonica lesson is now available for fans to follow along.
