Chris Lane shares ‘Shade Tree’

The album will be available on June 20th

Multi-platinum recording artist and country chart-topper Chris Lane drops his latest track, “Shade Tree,” available everywhere. Opening with the familiar tones of a crisp mandolin and a singing fiddle, “Shade Tree” delivers an undeniable air of nostalgia, evoking a yearning for simpler times.

“Underneath the shade tree / Are the roots that shaped me / In the backyard of the farm town that raised me / I carved my name in it / Hid out from the rain in it / I learned to love this life the good Lord gave me / Underneath the shade tree,” he sings in the chorus.

Produced by award-winning producers Dann Huff and Jay DeMarcus and written by Mark Trussell, Randy Montana and Chris Lane, today’s “Shade Tree” accompanies an official music video, which debuted on CMT.

The release serves as the title track and official announcement for Chris Lane’s upcoming album, Shade Tree, out June 20th via DeMarcus’ Red Street Records. This 12-track project marks Lane’s first full album since his 2018 Laps Around The Sun, which included the double platinum “Take Back Home Girl” and No. 1-charted “I Don’t Know About You.” Fans can expect a host of new music alongside four previously released songs including Lane’s climbing country radio single, “If I Die Before You,” fan-favorite, “What Am I Supposed to Tell The Dog,” and his latest release with CMT’s Next Women of Country’s Abby Anderson, “Fire We Found.”
