Chris Stapleton announces tenth anniversary ‘Traveller’ vinyl

Special edition variants will be available this summer

Ten years ago today (May 5, 2015), Chris Stapleton released his landmark debut album Traveller via Mercury Nashville. In celebration of the anniversary, new special edition vinyl variants will be released later this summer, including Ruby at his official store, Cobalt at Walmart, Forest Green at Target, Ultra Clear at indie record stores, and Cola Bottle Clear via Amazon. Additionally, SiriusXMโ€™s Chris Stapleton Radio (ch. 63) will mark the anniversary with new stories about the making of the ground-breaking album and songs from the record played throughout the day.

Beloved by critics, fans and fellow artists, Traveller was recorded at Nashvilleโ€™s historic RCA Studio A with producer Dave Cobb. It won Best Country Album at the 58th Grammy Awards, Album of the Year at both the CMAs and ACMs and went on to become the best-selling country album of the 2010โ€™s. Following a historic turn on the 2015 CMA Awardsโ€”where Stapleton became the first artist to ever win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year in the same yearโ€”Traveller became the first album in history to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where it stayed for two straight weeks. With global sales over 11 million, the album is certified RIAA seven-times platinum in the U.S. and has been streamed over 11 billion times around the world. Additionally, the album has spent over 500 weeks on the Billboard 200 chartโ€”the first country album to do so.

Stapleton has gone on to release four more studio albums, performed the National Anthem at 2023โ€™s Super Bowl LVII, three times on Saturday Night Live, sold out countless shows worldwide and performed collaborations with Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Sheryl Crow, Santana, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Slash, George Strait and many others.

Stapleton and his wife Morgane are founders of the Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, which supports a variety of causes that are close to their heart. Moreover, in 2024, Stapleton unveiled Traveller Whiskey, a first-of-its-kind collaboration created in partnership with Buffalo Trace Distilleryโ€™s Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, which went on to become last yearโ€™s Most Awarded Super Premium Whiskey.

Known for his electric live shows, Stapleton will continue his All-American Road Show tour through this summer including back-to-back nights at New Yorkโ€™s Madison Square Garden, Denverโ€™s Ball Arena, Tinley Parkโ€™s Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre, Phoenixโ€™s Desert Diamond Arena and Grand Rapidsโ€™ Van Andel Arena among others as well as a series of select stadium shows with George Strait.
