Four dates will be rescheduled
Chris Stapleton has postponed the remaining March dates of his 2020 All-American Road Show tour which opened in Corpus Christi, TX on March 11th. The country superstar shared the timely decision on social media, citing the health and well-being of the fans, band and crew is No. 1 as the coronavirus outbreak affects the entire world.
“We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause. Please know these decisions are not made lightly and we are working diligently to find new dates for these shows & will announce that information as soon as it becomes available to us,” he writes. “We look forward to seeing you soon. Until then, our hope is that you all stay safe & well.
Shows affected are Austin, TX on March 12th, Arlington, TX on March 14th, Biloxi, MS on March 20th and Birmingham, AL on March 21st. Rescheduled dates haven’t been announced as of press time.
Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams Jr., Elle King, Jamey Johnson, Willie Nelson & Family The Highwomen, Jason Isbel, the 400 Unit, The Dirty Knobs with Mike Campbell, Kendell Marvel, Margo Price, Nikki Lane, Sheryl Crow, The Marcus King Band and Yola will all be making appearances throughout the trek.
Stapleton is among a gamut of artists who have canceled or postponed shows due to the coronavirus pandemic, including The Who, Pearl Jam, Dan + Shay, Sammy Hagar, Santana, Sons of Apollo, Zac Brown Band, Slipknot and others.
Major festivals and events have forced to be canceled including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to shutting down 11 days early because of public health concerns, SXSW in Austin and the Ultra Festival in Miami. Promoters Goldenvoice Entertainment announced earlier this week that Coachella and Stagecoach have been pushed back six months to October 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
