Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music and the Ellis Theater announce Chris Stapleton will perform two exclusive fundraiser shows at the historic Ellis Theater in downtown Philadelphia, Mississippi, on Saturday, April 12th. All proceeds from these special performances will support the construction of Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music Community Hall, a gathering space within the world-class country music museum and performing arts center that welcomes all.
“Chris Stapleton is one of the finest artists of our time,” shares Stuart, a Grammy-winning Country Music Hall of Famer, and founder of the Congress of Country Music. “To have Chris Stapleton perform at the Ellis Theater, in the heart of my hometown, is an honor and a moment we will never forget. We are thankful that Chris has so graciously donated his time to help raise money for the Congress of Country Music.”
The Ellis Theater, a cornerstone of the Congress of Country Music, has become a premier venue for intimate, elite performances. Since its reopening, the venue has hosted some of the biggest names in music, and Stapleton’s performances will further cement its status as a must-visit destination for music lovers. More importantly, these fundraising concerts will directly contribute to the ongoing development and completion of the Congress of Country Music, ensuring its place as a lasting cultural institution.

The Ellis Theater will host Chris Stapleton for two performances at 5 pm an 8 pm on Saturday, April 12th. Tickets for both shows can be purchased through The Ellis Theater Box Office or Ticketmaster starting on Wednesday, March 12th at 10 am local time. Tickets purchased through secondary sellers will not be accepted.

The Congressional Sessions will serve as an annual cornerstone fundraising event, with proceeds directly contributing to the construction and completion of the Congress of Country Music. The Congressional Sessions will take place directly in front of the Ellis Theater on Byrd Ave.
Celebrating the rich history and bright future of country music, The Congressional Sessions will unite fans from across the world for an unforgettable day of performances from an impressive lineup of artists spanning genres and generations. Stapleton’s concerts will be simulcast live on a 22-foot high-definition video wall. Performances by Grace Bowers and Brittney Spencer will showcase a mix of legendary icons, chart-topping stars and rising talents on the outdoor stage.
