No cause of death has been revealed

Blues legend Chuck Berry has died at the age of 90 at his home near St. Louis. St. Charles First Responders found Berry unresponsive after arriving to his home before 1 pm Central on Saturday (March 18th). They attempted life saving techniques but were unsuccessful.

Berry, who’s real name is Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., hails from St. Louis and was an inventor of rock and roll with hits like “Johnny B. Goode,” “Roll Over Beethoven,” “Maybellene,” and more. Berry influenced some of rock’s most famous artists including The Beatles, Eric Clapton and more.

The family asks for privacy during this time. No cause of death has been revealed as of press time.

Musicians have taken to social media to express their thoughts on Berry’s passing.
