Platinum-selling entertainer readies new music for artist-centric label

Show Dog Nashville has signed prolific and acclaimed hitmaker, singer, songwriter and entertainer Clay Walker. The native Texan with four platinum albums and a dozen No. 1 hits to his name joins the label helmed by multi-platinum recording artist and Songwriters Hall of Famer Toby Keith.

“Toby and I started out at the same time and share a common vision,” Walker says. “We are managed by the same team and no one understands what an artist needs like another artist. We see eye to eye in so many ways. I am thrilled to be a part of this team and can’t wait to get my new music out to everyone.”

“Our paths have crossed many times,” Keith adds. “I respect Clay as an artist, and his catalog of hits speaks for itself. He writes and sings country music. What a concept.”

Walker has been preparing over the past year, working with many of the genre’s top songwriters as he readies a new project. Time off the road from his typically heavy touring schedule has only accelerated the process. Details on the new single and album project are coming soon.

His 31 charted singles include iconic titles that remain at the core of the country format and continue to receive strong airplay. Among them are “Live Until I Die,” “Dreaming With My Eyes Open,” “If I Could Make A Living,” “This Woman And This Man,” “Hypnotize The Moon,” “Rumor Has It,” “Then What,” “The Chain Of Love,” “I Can’t Sleep” and “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”

Signing with TKO Artist Management last year, Walker remains deeply committed to community service through his annual Clay Walker Charity Classic at Pebble Beach and the Band Against MS charity he established after his own diagnosis in 1996.
