CMT is set to celebrate 20 years of the biggest and best CMT Music Awards moments with the 90-minute special, CMT Music Awards: Ultimate Party Edition. The special airs on Thursday, July 17th at 9 pm ET/PT on CMT, featuring the iconic superstar performances, once-in-a-lifetime collaborations, world premieres, and major genre-blending surprises across two decades of the storied award show.
Hosted by CMT’s Cody Alan, the special features new sit-downs with Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Cody Johnson, Cole Swindell, Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town and Luke Bryan, looking back on their most memorable show appearances and sharing never-before-told stories from the biggest on- and off-stage moments in CMT history.
Fans will vote for the Ultimate Fan Favorite Performance from July 11-14th via @CMT Facebook and Instagram Stories, with the winning moment revealed inside the special’s premiere on July 17th.
Additional airings of the special will be Thursday, July 17th at 10:30 pm ET/T and Saturday, July 19th at noon ET/PT on CMT, with subsequent airings on CMT Music to be announced at a later date.
