CMT honoring Naomi Judd

Special airs May 3rd on CMT

CMT is honoring Naomi Judd with CMT Remembers Naomi Judd. The special, which includes appearances, commentary and reactions from Loretta Lynn, Billy Ray Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, daughter Wynonna and more, airs Tuesday, May 3rd at 9 pm ET/PT.

The special is a celebration honoring the extraordinary life and legacy of the legendary Naomi Judd, one half of country music’s iconic mother-daughter duo, The Judds. Featuring archival footage and interviews blended alongside memorable performances and moments from the past several decades of her career, the half-hour event recounts Naomi’s storied past as a trailblazer for women in country music and path to becoming one of the most successful duos in country music history. From a comprehensive overview of The Judds’ early beginnings and family dynamics to Naomi’s career post-The Judds before the GRAMMY-winning pair’s reunion in 2022, the special will also feature Naomi’s final interview on the 2022 CMT Music Awards red carpet in April, and include coverage of last night’s emotional induction ceremony at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Additionally, CMT will air The Judds’ final performance of international hit and chart-topping single, “Love Can Build A Bridge,” from the 2022 CMT Music Awards every hour during music hours on CMT, CMT Music and CMT Pluto channels this week.

The special will receive four encore presentations on Wednesday, May 4th at 8:30 am ET/PT and 8 pm ET/PT; Saturday, May 7th at noon ET/PT and Sunday, May 8th at 11 am ET/PT on CMT.

Judd passed away on Saturday, April 30th, one day before she and Wynonna were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The duo, one of the most successful in country music history, were set to perform a 10 date Final Tour later this year, their first in over a decade.
