Rescheduled spring dates set for late summer/early fall
Tanya Tucker and CMT have announced rescheduled tour dates for the spring leg of the 2020 CMT Next Women of Country: Bring My Flowers Now Tour to later in the year. The news was announced Monday morning (March 23rd) by Tucker via Instagram. Purchased tour tickets will be honored at all rescheduled dates.
Previously announced tour openers from CMT’s Next Women of Country members Erin Enderlin (2017), Hailey Whitters (2020) and Walker County (2020) will still appear with Tucker at various tour stops.
“Our top priority is the safety of our artists, crews and guests which is why we’re rescheduling the spring leg of the 2020 tour,” shares Leslie Fram, Senior Vice President, Music & Talent. “This move is being made out of an abundance of caution and concern regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We’re continuing to defer to health officials and the CDC for guidance.”
This 2020 Class marks a total of 75 female acts that have been named as part of the program since its inception in 2013. A staunch advocate for country music’s female artists, CMT launched its Next Women of Country campaign in an effort to support and expose developing female talent, both signed and unsigned, in a male-dominated format. The campaign showcases emerging female artists across all CMT screens throughout the year, and in six years since its launch, CMT has expanded the initiative to include five CMT Women of Country Tours, anchored by superstar acts including Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and Sara Evans; a CMT.com digital series titled Next Women of Country Live; and more. Notable alumnae of the franchise who have achieved both commercial and critical acclaim include Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Lauren Alaina, RaeLynn and Lindsay Ell.
