Cody Jinks drops ‘Better Than the Bottle’

The song is from his new album dropping this summer

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Cody Jinks releases his new song โ€œBetter Than the Bottleโ€ via his label, Late August Records. This is the second track to be released from his forthcoming album, In My Blood, due July 25th.

โ€œBetter Than the Bottleโ€ is a reflective, gritty country ballad that captures the journey of a person grappling with their flaws, while clinging onto hope, having given up their main vice. Jinksโ€™ signature raw vocals and stripped-down instrumentation give the song a sense of honesty and humility. Painting the picture of redemption, the song highlights grand victories in small, personal change.

Cody Jinks and Ward Davis will embark on the second go-around of their previously sold out tour, Same Kind of Crazy Acoustic Tour. The tour will feature ten dates spanning from Hawaii to Alaska.

In My Blood marks Jinksโ€™ 11th studio album and signals a bold, personal evolution in both his career and life. Produced by Joshua Thompson and Charles Godfrey, the album leans into a darker, more soulful soundโ€”fusing the grit of outlaw country with the fire of Southern rock. With its unvarnished instrumentation and Jinksโ€™ unmistakable baritone at the center, the record navigates themes of perseverance, hard-earned wisdom, and the realities of blue-collar life. It’s not just a continuation of Jinksโ€™ musical legacyโ€”itโ€™s a revealing look at a seasoned artist confronting where heโ€™s come from and carving out where heโ€™s headed next.

The electrifying performer who has sold over five million tickets to date is looking forward to another ambitious stage setup with his 2025 North American tour, the Hippies and Cowboys Tour, which kicked off last night in Columbia, Missouri and his recently announced Same Kind of Crazy Acoustic Tour with Ward Davis. Additionally, he will be gracing stages at Railbird, FairWell Festival, Born and Raised Festival, and Tanglefoot festival this year.
