Song earns more than 200 million streams

Platinum-selling COJO Music/Warner Music Nashville recording artist Cody Johnson scores his first-ever country radio No. 1 with “‘Til You Can’t.” The news follows the song topping Billboard’s Hot Country Songs charts which combines airplay, streaming and sales. Additionally, the song landed at No. 1 on the SiriusXM’s Hot 30 Weekend, the MusicRow CountryBreakout list and Shazam’s Country Chart.

“Til You Can’t is officially #1 on Country Radio! Huge thank you to Country Radio and to #COJONation for loving this song. Y’all, I am so thankful!” Johnson acknowledges on social media.

The RIAA certified, gold-selling song is the debut single from Johnson’s sophomore major-label release, Human The Double Album. To date the song has garnered more than 200 million global streams.

The song, penned by Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers, is an infectious tempo that starts quietly, then builds along with Johnson’s advice: take the chances, chase the dreams, bait those lines, put that diamond on her hand, and take those calls from your mama as long as you can, until you can’t. It’s the quintessential why-not-now song that will call Johnson’s loyal fans to action.

Johnson also obtained his first-ever nomination for the 2022 CMT Music Awards. “‘Til You Can’t” is nominated for “Video of the Year,” “Male Video of the Year” and “CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year” at the show airing live form Nashville next month.

The Texas native also made history last month as the third performer ever to sell out opening night of RODEOHOUSTON. Following records set in previous years by Garth Brooks (2018) and George Strait (2017), Johnson attracted a crowd of 70,554 cheering fans to help launch the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s 90th anniversary season after a forced hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the global pandemic. Johnson’s appearance marked his fourth since 2017 when he first stepped in as a last-minute replacement for Old Dominion, becoming a must-see performer at the Rodeo since.
