Cole Swindell, Lainey Wilson earn Platinum certification

“Never Say Never” certified by RIAA

Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson’s multi-week No. 1 single, “Never Say Never,” has officially been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The single was written by Swindell, Jessi Alexander and Chase McGill and was the second of three back-to-back No. 1’s from Swindell’s Stereotype album.

Warner Music Nashville surprised Swindell Tuesday (Oct 4th) afternoon with three plaques commemorating his record-setting year. Besides “Never Say Never,” the country superstar is celebrating a Gold certification for “She Had Me At Heads Carolina,” his latest multi-week No. 1 that’s spending its fourth week atop the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The song has already surpassed one million track equivalents. “Heads Carolina” made Swindell the only artist in 2022 to spend four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on country radio, also amassing the largest airplay audience of any country single this year. The third plaque celebrates Swindell’s incredible 12 chart-topping hits.

The decorated singer/songwriter is nominated for two CMA Award nominations for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year with Lainey Wilson for his multi-week No. 1 duet single “Never Say Never.” “Never Say Never” was previously his fastest-rising single to date before “She Had Me At Heads Carolina” hit No. 1 on the Billboard country airplay chart last week.

On Friday, September 23rd, the 12x chart-topper launches his headlining Back Down To The Bar Tour with Ashley Cooke and Dylan Marlowe in Helotes, TX. The tour already boasts several sold out shows, including his first headlining date at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN on November 3rd, prompting a second show being added on November 2nd.

Wilson has recently collaborated with Hardy for “Wait In The Truck,” a game-changing duet into the history books of country’s rich story song catalog. The track springs to life with a cinematic music video directed by Justin Clough and shot in Carthage, TN earlier this summer.

Wilson will release her sophomore album, Bell Bottom Country, on October 28th via BBR Music Group. The project’s first single, “Heart Like A Truck,” was released in May and features Wilson penning 13 of the 14 tracks.

This fall, Wilson can be seen as country singer Abby in a recurring role on the Paramount Network blockbuster, YellowstoneThe series returns for season five on November 13th with Wilson cast as a new character.
