CONFIRMED: Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood record album, tour together

No dates were given

It’s official… Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are planning an album and tour together, according to Yearwood.

Yearwood spoke with CBS This Morning on Thursday (Aug 22nd) telling host Jeff Glor that a joint tour is in the developing stages.

“This will be our third go-around. But — but it’ll be a whole different ball game, you know, as man and wife to go do this together. So I — I’m looking forward to it.”

The interview didn’t make any mention of a duets album on TV, but instead transcribed an uncut version in which Yearwood states an album together is “part of the plan.” She also confirmed a new solo album for her is also in the works which would be her first in six or seven years, depending on when the it is released.

No timeline was given for the joint album or tour, but we have previously reported that is expected when Brooks announces his comeback in 2014.

We will keep you informed.
