Country Music Hall of Fame announces countdown to digital fundraiser

Countdown to BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) will be livestreamed from the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Oct 28th

With its digital fundraiser, BIG NIGHT (At the Museum), set to premiere next Wednesday, October 28th, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has announced a special, live event that will stream 30 minutes prior to the fundraiser’s premiere. Hosted by Tenille Townes, with special guest Carly Pearce, Countdown to BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) will be livestreamed exclusively on the museum’s YouTube channel at 7:30 pm CDT on October 28th.

During Countdown to BIG NIGHT (At the Museum), Townes and Pearce will each perform a song associated with an artist who influenced them. These tribute performances by Townes and Pearce reflect the broader aim of BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) — to celebrate country music history and the music itself, which has endured across many generations.

Countdown to BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) will also kick off an auction, in which viewers can bid on a Gibson SJ-200 guitar signed by all artists performing on BIG NIGHT (At the Museum). The auction closes at 5 pm CDT on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020. There will be other surprises announced throughout the countdown program for those who tune in.

BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) is the most ambitious digital fundraiser in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s history. BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) will generate support for the museum and its mission, which includes researching, curating and mounting an ever-changing menu of exhibitions; preservation of artifacts, recordings and research documents crucial to telling the story of country music accurately and completely; and staging educations programs that frequently allow audiences to hear the country music story from those who lived it. The program will present performances that use vintage instruments that were played by country music legends to illustrate the connections between generations. Artists participating include: Alison Brown, Kane Brown, Carlene Carter, Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Keb’ Mo’, Brad Paisley, Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stuart, The War and Treaty, Dan Tyminski and Lucinda Williams. Stuart will host. Producer Dave Cobb will provide audio supervision. BIG NIGHT (At the Museum) is produced in partnership with YouTube.
