The rocker will perform a duet with Dorothy
Creed frontman Scott Stapp is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on October 23rd. The appearance will feature the first live performance of his first-ever duet with Dorothy, “If These Walls Could Talk.”
“I am humbled by this invitation and grateful for the Opryโs tradition of including outliers like me,” Stapp shares. “The Nashville songwriting community has been an incredible source of inspiration and support through a life-changing era for me, so it is a distinct honor to step into the circle for the first time.”
Opry members Jon Pardi, T. Graham Brown, and Ashley McBryde are also slated to stand in the Inner Circle the same night.
In March, the Grammy-winning, platinum-certified artist, who’s called Nashville his home for nearly a decade, released his fourth solo album, Higher Power,ย via Napalm Records. Higher Power follows 2019โs The Space Between the Shadows, which debuted at No. 3 on the US Current Rock Albums chart, the US Current Hard Music Albums chart, and the UK Official Rock and Metal Chart, among countless other top chart positions.
Earlier this year, Creed reunited after a lengthy hiatus on the Summer Of โ99 Cruise and Summer Of โ99 and Beyond Cruise. Both first-band branded cruises by Sixthman were the first in history to completely sell out two separate voyages. Following the historic announcement and immediate sell-out of week one, Creed unveiled a second week to a similarly unprecedented response, with all reservations booked within an hour of the public on sale.
This summer, Creed launched its Summer Of ’99 Tour with 3 Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Tonic, and Big Wreck supporting select dates with Finger Eleven on all dates.
The band will extend the summer trek with a fall run entitled Are You Ready? Tour due to fan demand. Produced by Live Nation, the 20 additional arena dates will kick off this November in Oklahoma City at Paycom Center. The tour will feature special guests 3 Doors Down, Mammoth WVH, and Finger Eleven on select dates.
The band will host its annual Summer of 99 Cruise. The 2025 edition will sail April 9-13 from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas aboard the magnificent Norwegian Gem, featuring first-class amenities including ten restaurants, eight bars, a casino, a basketball court, a spa, a gym, an outdoor track, and much more.
In August, the Nineties rockers released a 25th-anniversary deluxe edition of its seminal debut album, Human Clay. The new expanded remastered album includes the original 11 songs and rare bonus tracks including a never-before-heard complete concert from โ99, recorded in San Antonio, TX.
