Trio’s single breaks records with 75 million global streams and more than 250,000 U.S. track equivalents

GRAMMY-winning duo Dan + Shay are expanding country music around the world as their single “10,000 Hours” with pop superstar Justin Bieber breaks records at more than 75 million global streams, making it the biggest first-week streaming total in country music history by a wide margin.

Additionally, with more than 250,000 U.S. track equivalents, “10,000 Hours” is the first song by a country duo or group ever to debut in the Billboard Hot 100’s top five. Arriving at No. 1 on their Country Streaming Songs and all-genre Digital Song Sales charts, this is also Dan + Shay’s third song to reach the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour, announced last week, is off to an epic start with their show at Madison Square Garden selling out in less than 90 minutes. The 35+ date tour is presented by AEG Presents and follows their sold-out Dan + Shay The Tour earlier this year.

As one of the most-nominated artists at this year’s CMA Awards, Dan + Shay are up for Duo of the Year, Album of the Year, and Single of the Year for their 3x platinum, four-week No. 1 hit “Speechless,” with Smyers receiving an additional nomination for Song of the Year as a co-writer on 4x platinum, multi-week No. 1 “Tequila” for the second year in a row. CMT also recently announced Dan + Shay as one of the top country superstars of 2019 to be celebrated at this year’s 10th Annual CMT Artists of the Year special, airing this Wednesday (Oct 16th) at 8 pm ET/PT.

In the seven years since they formed, they have amassed nearly four billion streams globally, accumulated 17 total RIAA platinum and gold certifications and six No. 1 singles at country radio. They took home their first-ever GRAMMY earlier this year and followed the honor by becoming the most-awarded artist at the ACM Awards before going on to earn CMT Music, Billboard Music and Teen Choice Awards, effectively sweeping the country categories.
