Single to make TV debut on 56th ACM Awards

As they head into ACM Awards weekend, 2x Duo of the Year winners and current nominees Dan + Shay are giving fans an extra dose of gratitude with a new acoustic version of their chart-climbing single, “Glad You Exist” (Acoustic). To coincide with the release, the duo has also shared an accompanying lyric video for the highly requested version of their latest smash hit.

Glad You Exist” will make its world television debut performance at the 56th ACM Awards this Sunday, April 18th, where the duo is also up for their third consecutive Duo of the Year win. Approaching Top 20 on the country airplay charts, the track was most added at country radio for two consecutive weeks upon impact. Written by the duo’s Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney alongside Ryan Lewis, Tayla Parx and Jordan Reynolds, the feel-good single has seen strong fan interaction through gladyouexist.com. Fans have taken the site to share personal stories of who they are glad to exist, with Dan + Shay sharing some of their favorites on social media.

“Glad You Exist” follows their most recent No. 1, RIAA platinum-certified smash “I Should Probably Go To Bed,” which has surpassed 1.4 million U.S. track equivalents and 250+ million global streams. The duo shattered records with their single “10,000 Hours” with superstar Justin Bieber, with the song claiming the title of the biggest first-week streaming total in country music history. Garnering over 1.5 billion global streams to date, the track was the fastest country song to reach over one million U.S. track equivalents in 2019 and spent 21 weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart (fifth longest run in chart history).
