Danielle Bradbery launches independent career with self-titled album

Her first album in six years is available now

It’s time to re-meet Danielle Bradbery. The versatile and multifaceted recording artist, who first leaped onto the scene after winning The Voice at just 16 years old, enters a new chapter with the launch of her newest album Danielle. Available everywhere from Bradbery’s DB Records via Firebird, Danielle marks her first album in over six years and first ever independent record.

The deeply personal and captivating album takes listeners on an emotional journey of heartbreak and healing – the ups, the downs and everything in between. As Bradbery explores a season of heartache, recounting the trials of a broken relationship, she channels the emotion and rawness of being let down time and time again – being pushed to the brink – and eventually comes out on the other side stronger than before. Danielle also introduces a new musical side of Bradbery, blending her country sensibilities with pop and R&B, while remaining authentic to her signature soulful sound and powerful vocals.

“I’ve learned a lot the last several years, and with Danielle, I am truly representing the woman I’ve become,” says Bradbery. “During the recording process, it was important to not only share my story but also my love for the ranging styles of music that raised me and have continued to inspire me my whole life. This album takes listeners on a journey that is at times heartbreaking and angry, but at its core embodies the creative freedom that anchors the entire work. I’m so proud of this album – my first in almost seven years. I hope it makes you laugh and cry and if you happen to see a piece of yourself somewhere in this; I hope you feel seen and empowered.”

The featured track off Danielle is the powerful gospel-leaning track “You Could” in which Bradbery looks back at a moment of desperation, when she was at her lowest, and had to turn to God to help someone that she could not. This universal experience relatable to many shows Bradbery undertaking a difficult journey, but relying on her faith got her through. Bradbery says of the track; ‘You Could’ represents a breaking point in a relationship that had nearly sucked the life out of me. I finally realized that no matter how much I loved and cared about someone, I couldn’t be the one to fix them; so I gave it up to God. This song is really a conversation with God, a prayer coming to life. I think we’ve all been in a situation where we realize we are not capable, only God is.”

Danielle also includes previously released tracks “Wedding or a Funeral” and “Broken Boy” where Bradbery revisits an old flame and the distorted expectations we are taught about love, eventually learning to embrace the brokenness we all carry.

Bradbery will celebrate the release of Danielle with four album release shows, where she will take fans through the entire album journey from top to bottom in an intimate setting. The album release shows will take place in New York on September 7th at The Mercury Lounge, Los Angeles on September 14th at Hotel Cafe, Chicago on September 20th at Joes on Weed Street, and in Nashville on September 27th at The Basement East.
