Darius Rucker going incognito on ‘Undercover Boss’

Rucker goes to Austin TX to scope out new bands

Darius Rucker is one of two celebrities going incognito for two special episodes of Undercover Boss. “Celebrity Undercover Boss: Darius Rucker” airs May 12th on CBS and features the Grammy Award-winning rock star turned country singer traveling to Austin, TX on an undercover journey to discover the next great musical act.

During his time undercover, Rucker runs an open mic night, works as a roadie, and strolls along Austin’s famous Sixth Street in search of standout street performers. State-of-the-art prosthetic makeup was used to disguise Rucker so he wouldn’t be recognized, despite his fame.

Internationally acclaimed chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson is the other celebrity appearing on the series on May 19th.

Rucker’s episode airs Friday, May 12th from 8-9 pm ET/PT on CBS. Check local listings.

Rucker’s heartfelt new single, “If I Told You,” is currently in the top 15 and climbing the country charts.
