Brooks will headline two shows in Minneapolis this weekend

Garth Brooks has revealed that Darius Rucker will open his second U.S. Bank Stadium show in Minneapolis this weekend. Emerging Nashville-based band King Calaway will open night number one on Friday, May 3rd with Rucker opening night number two on Saturday, May 4th.

“This is gonna be fun, man. Sweet guy,” Brooks reveals during his Inside Studio G weekly Facebook Live episode. “He keeps saying ‘Hey, when are we gonna do something?’ I said, ‘Well, what are you doing on [May] the 4th?’ He says, ‘I’ll be there.’ Sweetest guy on the planet. You’re gonna have fun with this cat, too, so the weekend in St. Paul/Minneapolis, really really cool. You’re gonna get music from all over.”

Brooks just launched The Stadium Tour and has already set massive records in the first five stadiums they announced including the newly sold out Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR show on June 29th.

Brooks is also teaming with Words With Friends for the final Legacy vinyl pre-order window that starts May 1st and runs through the weekend or “until supplies last.” During the first three pre-sales, Brooks has moved nearly one million vinyl units. Forbes noted, “To put this in context, The Beatles were the No. 1 vinyl artist in 2018 with 321,000 sales over 12 months.”
