Multi-Platinum selling recording artist Daughtry has revelead “Waiting for Superman,” the first single from their upcoming fourth album Baptized, due out November 19th on 19/RCA Records. “Waiting for Superman” is produced by Martin Johnson and written by Chris Daughtry, Martin Johnson and Sam Hollander and is available at all digital providers now. Recorded while on tour this summer, the infectious new single takes Daughtry to a new musical level.
“We’re excited to unveil our new musical direction,” says Chris Daughtry. “We wanted to remain true to our roots but at the same time felt the need to push ourselves creatively more than ever. ‘Waiting For Superman’ is a perfect example of the overall theme to the new album.”
Daughtry launched a social media campaign with Hyperactivate last week to release the single artwork and track. Fans could log onto Daughtry’s website, answer a question and choose to add their Facebook and/or Twitter image to a pixilated picture of the artwork, which eventually comes together like pieces in a puzzle to form the final image.
