David Bowie announces ‘Sound + Vision’ reissue, ‘Knock On Wood’ LP

David Bowie is celebrating his upcoming career-spanning boxed set, Nothing Has Changed with two more projects this year: a reissue of the 1989 boxed set Sound + Vision and a 7″ Picture Disc of “Knock On Wood.”

Available now at your favorite record store, Sound + Vision, a reissue of the Bowie box set which originally came out in ’89 as a 50-track collection featuring three CDs and a CD-Video disc, represents the glam rocker’s career from 1982-1997. The set was originally released as a 3 CD/1 Video CD set, but the V-CD has since been replaced by a fourth CD of latter material instead of a DVD of the video material. This is the same reissue from 2003 except for more cost-effective packaging. Full track listing is below.

Available on October 3rd is a 40th Anniversary 7″ LP Picture Disc of “Knock On Wood” from David Live. Originally released in Fall 1974, the track, remixed in 2005 by Tony Visconti along with “Rock ‘N Roll With Me,” is making its vinyl debut. The image used on the A side of the Picture Disc is from the picture sleeve of the original French single whilst the AA side features a rarely seen shot of Bowie from 1974.
