Roth will wrap his career in early 2022

David Lee Roth says he’s retiring following five newly announced shows at the House of Blues Las Vegas. In a new phone interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal, Roth says these are his final shows.

“I am throwing in the shoes. I’m retiring,” Roth shares. “This is the first, and only, official announcement. You’ve got the news. Share it with the world. I’m not going to explain the statement. The explanation is in a safe. These are my last five shows.”

The original Van Halen frontman says Eddie Van Halen’s death last year and his upcoming 67th birthday are factors in his decision. He’s already spoken with Alex Van Halen of the decision.

The conversation ended without letting the reporter ask a single question.

“I’ve given you all I’ve got to give. It’s been an amazing, great run, no regrets, nothing to say about anybody. I’ll miss you all. Stay frosty,” he says.

The shows run December 31st, January 1st, January 5th, 7th and 8th. Tickets to the shows are available now via Ticketmaster and all patrons must be 18+.

The larger than life residency at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino will delight fans with an explosive two-guitar sound and mega list of familiar hits featuring a changing set of 26 instantly recognizable songs from his Van Halen era through his own solo career.
