Concerts are Oct 19th and 20th

Dead & Company featuring Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, and Bob Weir with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti, has added two concerts at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado to its 2021 tour. The shows – Tuesday, October 19th, and Wednesday, October 20th – go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, September 24th at noon MDT through AXS.

The Grateful Dead performed over 2,300 concerts during their decades-long career, but one of the band’s favorite venues was Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band’s maiden run at Red Rocks was July 7-8, 1978, and they went on to play 20 epic shows there from 1978-1987.

To ensure fans get tickets in their hands directly, Fan Registration is available now until Friday, September 17th at noon MDT through Fair AXS Registration. Eligible fans will receive presale details on Tuesday, September 21st.

Per the band’s new COVID protocols, all fans will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least two weeks after final dose) at the time of the event and provide proof of vaccination – either the original vaccination card, a printed copy of the vaccination card, a picture of the vaccination card, or have the mycolorado app showing proof of vaccination. All forms of proof of vaccination must be presented with a state-issued ID. These regulations will apply to all members of your party before they are allowed entry to the event and to any users of the tickets purchased by you.

CID Entertainment & On Location will once again offer a variety of enhanced experience packages for this special run of shows with a premium reserved concert ticket with access to Loose Lucy’s Lounge and/or a limited edition screen-printed poster and more.

Dead & Company debuted at No. 1 as Pollstar’s HOT SHOT artist of the week with a ticket average of 21,934 from the first 11 concerts on the supergroup’s 2021 tour. The tour kicked off on August 16th with a sold out show in Raleigh, North Carolina, and runs through Halloween with a three-night sold out stand at the Hollywood Bowl (October 29th, 30th, & 31st). It also included a sold out show at the New York Mets ballpark, Citi Field (August 20th); two nights in Boston (September 2nd & 3rd) among others. This tour continues this weekend with two nights at the home of the Chicago Cubs, Wrigley Field (September 17th & 18th).

Dead & Company continues its work with longtime sustainability partner REVERB. The band has committed to a comprehensive climate action program via REVERB’s Music Climate Revolution campaign, which, in addition to reducing the tour’s environmental footprint and engaging fans to take action at the shows, will support projects that directly and measurably eliminate greenhouse gases while benefitting diverse communities. These efforts will make the tour “climate-positive;” eliminating more than five times the tour’s emissions including fan travel.

Dead & Company was formed in 2015 when the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir joined forces with artist and musician John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge, and Fare Thee Well and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. The result was one of the most successful touring bands of the decade. Since its formation, the band has completed six tours, playing to 3.4 million fans, and has become a record-breaking stadium act. Having toured consistently since its 2015 debut, the band has grossed $255.5 million and sold 2.8 million tickets across 149 reported shows. Dead & Co. has headlined iconic stadiums across the country including Folsom Field, Autzen Stadium, Citi Field, Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium. Additionally, the band broke Wrigley Field’s all-time concert attendance record.

In between tours, Dead & Company hosts its annual “Playing in the Sand” all-inclusive Caribbean concert vacation in Mexico and features three nights of Dead & Company playing on an intimate beach. Due to overwhelming fan demand, a second weekend was added to 2022’s Playing in the Sand. Both weekends have sold out.
