Set is available in Dec

The Doors have announced that their third studio album, Waiting for the Sun, will get the deluxe Funko Pop treatment in December. Walmart is exclusively carrying the 23 inch oversized collectible packaged together in a hard case that can hang on the wall. It’s scheduled to ship around December 28th.

The iconic album cover graces one side and a Platinum record replica with Pop figures of Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore are on the other side.

Pop! Jim Morrison, Pop! Ray Manzarek, Pop! John Densmore, and Pop! Robby Krieger are dapperly dressed to match the suits the band members wore for their album cover photo.

In 2018, Rhino released The Doors Waiting On The Sun: 50th Anniversary Edition on 2 CD/1 LP, remastered from the original master tapes by Bruce Botnick, the Doors’ longtime engineer/mixer. The set also includes a second disc of 14 completely unreleased tracks: nine recently discovered “rough mixes” from the album recording sessions and five live songs from a 1968 Copenhagen show.

Funko and Walmart have also teamed with Metallica to release a deluxe Black Album Funko Pop in December.
