Rapper debuts songs at No. 1, 2 and 3

Drake has made Billboard Hot 100 history as the first artist to ever debut three songs in the top three spots in the same week. “What’s Next” debuts at No. 1 with “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby at No. 2 and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross at No. 3. The songs were released on March 5th as Scary Hours 2 EP from OVO Sound/Republic Records.

“What’s Next” is the rapper’s eighth Hot 100 No. 1, according to Billboard. The three songs together give him a record-extending 45 Top 10 hits. Ariana Grande and The Beatles are the only other artists to ever rake in songs in the top three Hot 100 spots simultaneously, but not debut.

On March 1st, Drake’s long-awaited sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy (CLB), leaked on Twitch and TikTok. A social media account named “Drake Insider” tweeted a link to the leaked album on SoundCloud, but that Twitter account and SoundCloud info were removed shortly thereafter. However, a YouTuber went live on Twitch with what appears to be a possible unmastered version of the album that featured 19 leaked songs.

After many delays, the album is now rumored to be officially released on April 30th, but it’s unknown if any of the “leaked” songs will appear on it.
