Single features Lil Durk

Drake has released his latest single, “Laugh Now Cry Later,” featuring Lil Durk via Republic Records. The track and video are available at all digital outlets. The track is from his forthcoming Certified Lover Boy album in which a release date has yet to be announced.

The accompanying video doubles as a Nike ad. It was directed by Dave Meyers and shot at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, OR. Lil Durk, Kevin  Durant, Odell Beckham Jr., and Marshawn Lynch make guest appearances.

The chorus reads, “I know that they at the crib going crazy down bad what they had didn’t last/Damn baby/Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry but I guess you know now/Baby/I took a half and she took the whole thing slow down/Baby/We took a trip now we on your block and it’s like a ghost town/Baby/Where do these n***** be at when they say they doing all this and all that.”

The album will follow last year’s Care Package compilation which debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The debut marks Drake’s ninth No. 1 album since 2010, extending his record for the most by any artist this decade. Drake has previously hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Scorpion (2018), More Life (2017), Views (2016), What a Time to Be Alive with Future (2015), If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015), Nothing Was the Same (2013), Take Care (2011) and Thank Me Later (2010).
