Twenty-six limited edition vinyl releases will be available throughout January
Rhino is ringing in the New Year with 26 limited-edition titles released throughout January. Start Your Ear Off Right features sought-after releases from iconic artists like Dream Theater, Fleetwood Mac, Ramones, ZZ Top, and more.
The annual release slate kicks off tomorrow (Fri, Jan 3rd) with The English Beat’s Special Beat Service (Standard Version) on single 140-gram silver vinyl. Dream Theater catalog titles include Awake, Falling Into Infinity, and Metropolis, Pt. 2 on double 140-gram clear LP while Images & Words will be available on single 140-gram clear vinyl.
Fleetwood Mac’s Live at the Record Plant (December 15, 1974) will be released on 2 LP transparent red vinyl, featuring the classic early-era Fleetwood Mac tracks “Hypnotized,” “Oh Well,” “Future Games,” “The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown),” and more.
Lindsey Buckingham’s 20th Century Lindsey will be available as a 4 LP box set on black vinyl featuring the studio albums Law and Order (1981), Go Insane (1984), and Out Of The Cradle (1992), joined by 20th Century Rarities, an eight-song compilation of non-album tracks containing hard-to-find mixes and soundtrack contributions, like “Time Bomb Town” (Back to the Future, 1985) and “Twisted” – his duet with Stevie Nicks (Twister, 1996).
Three Ramones projects will be available single black vinyl, including 1989’s Brain Dead, 1987’s Halfway to Insanity, and 1984’s Too Tough To Die.
Five ZZ Top albums will be available as Rhino High Fidelity releases. They include 1975’s Fandango!, Rio Grande Mud, Tejas, Tres Hombres, and ZZ Top’s First Album, all on single 180-gram black LP.
January 17th sees the Grateful Dead’s Skull & Roses available on double transparent lemonade vinyl.
Available January 24th will be Yes’ Fragile (Steven Wilson Remix) on single emerald green vinyl. Available for the first time on vinyl, an exploration into Yes’ breakthrough 1971 fourth studio album, Fragile, remixed by Steven Wilson. Includes hits such as “Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround – The Fish,” and many more!
Rush fans rejoice because on January 31st, four of their classic albums will receive single 180-gram black vinyl treatment. They include Counterparts, Presto, Roll the Bones, and Test for Echo.
Finally, on January 31st, Allen Toussaint’s Southern Nights (Rhino Reserve) will be available on single 180-gram black LP, along with The Cult’s Beyond Good and Evil on double red & bottle green vinyl, Eddie Hazel’s Game, Dames And Guitar Thangs (Rhino Reserve) on single on 180-gram black vinyl, and Stax Volt – The Complete Singles 1959-1968 -Stax, Vol. 1 on triple 180-gram black vinyl.
