“You Look Like You Love Me” tops the country radio charts
To close out an incredible breakout year, award-winning artist Ella Langley has earned her first No. 1 single on country radio with “You Look Like You Love Me.” The song, taken to the top of the charts in partnership with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, marks Riley Green’s fourth No. 1. The song reached the No. 1 spot on Mediabase’s Country Radio Chart and makes Ella the first female artist to lead the Billboard Country Airplay Chart in 2024.
The RIAA platinum-certified hit recently took home the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year and was featured on Langley’s debut album, Hungover. The track has emerged as Langley’s most-streamed song to date with more than 260 million worldwide streams and counting. After peaking in the Top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100, the song has also peaked at No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs this week.
Hailing from Hope Hull, Alabama, Langley tirelessly gigged in bars and at local festivals before relocating to Nashville in 2019. Spiking her unfiltered true stories with unapologetic rock ‘n’ roll grit and unassuming pop appeal, she quietly emerged as a phenomenon with millions of streams and a growing fan base. Following a series of buzz-building singles and her debut EP Excuse The Mess in 2023, Langley arrived at a landmark moment in her career with the release of her debut 14-track album, Hungover, on August 2nd. Co-writing every song on the album, Ella describes these songs as raw, fun, and emotional, and a peek into her diary entries. Ella has been named to CMT’s 2024 Listen Up roster, their Next Women of Country Class of 2024, and to Opry’s NextStage Class of 2024.
Green has been compelling country music fans to raise a drink, shed a tear, and, above all, celebrate where they are from since first releasing his self-titled EP in 2018 with Big Machine Label Group. His songs like the No. 1 platinum hit “There Was This Girl,” the triple platinum-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” and his chart-topping collab with Thomas Rhett, “Half of Me,” have made Riley synonymous with country music. Green is riding a wave of success after being named the Academy of Country Music’s 2020 New Male Artist of the Year, a former MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year, a CMT Listen Up Artist, and one of CRS’s 2020 New Faces. The singer-songwriter’s third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do, produced by Dann Huff, arrived on his birthday, October 18th with more of the signature Riley Green fans have come to know and love from the good ol’ boy who still lives in his hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama.
