Netflix film based on novel available Oct 7th

Singer-songwriter Elle King brings her searing vocal to “I Know Where I’ve Been,” a featured song in the forthcoming Netflix film Luckiest Girl Alive. The song is the only original song on the soundtrack which was produced by Hall Of Fame Songwriter Linda Perry. Written by Perry, the powerful song of freedom and release plays during the final credits of the film.

“I was instantly drawn to this song when I heard it,” states King. “Linda was one of the first people in this industry to see something in me when I was 19 years old. I look up to her so much and she’s carved a path for so many artists like me. She makes powerful music and it’s pretty dang cool she lets me be a part of it.”

Luckiest Girl Alive is a mystery drama based on the 2015 New York Times bestselling novel by Jessica Knoll and stars Mila Kunis, Connie Britton, Justine Lupe, Chiara Aurelia, Jennifer Beals, Finn Wittrock, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Barbusca, Carson MacCormac, Dalmar Abuzeid, and Alex Barone.

King and Perry have collaborated in the past, most recently in the Golden Globe-nominated film Dumplin. Perry produced that soundtrack which features a duet with Dolly Parton and King on the track “Holdin’ On To You.”

King is currently climbing the country charts with her new single “Worth A Shot,” featuring her friend and Grammy nominated artist Dierks Bentley. She continues touring this fall with Chris Stapleton as part of his All-American Roadshow Tour.
