Ellie Goulding has announced details of her 2014 North American headline tour. Goulding returns stateside this spring following her sold-out 2013 Halcyon Days Tour and a coveted opening slot on the Bruno Mars’ Moonshine Jungle Tour. Commencing March 12th at New York’s Theatre at Madison Square Garden, Goulding visits major North American cities before wrapping May 2nd at Red Rocks Amphitheater. British electronic music quartet Rudimental joins the tour as special guests beginning April 19th in San Francisco. Pre-sale is underway on Wednesday, November 20th on Goulding’s official website and tickets for the general public go on sale starting November 22nd. More dates expected to be added.
Goulding recently released Halcyon Days, a special edition that includes ten new tracks in addition to the deluxe album Halcyon. Halcyon Days features the current single, “Burn” as well as the platinum selling single “Anything Could Happen” and the Top 10 song, “I Need Your Love,” the Calvin Harris collaboration.
Entertainment Weekly called Goulding “exactly the kind of art-pop outsider we like to import from the U.K.” and the The New York Times described Halcyon as “a deeply felt swirl of synthesizers, piano and slowly building crescendos.” “The hooks always go to town, and her voice mates gorgeously with electronics,” raved Rolling Stone.
