Ellie Goulding celebrates ‘Brightest Blue’ release with Vevo live performance

“Brightest Blue” performance available now with “New Heights” available on July 20th

Vevo announces the premiere of Ellie Goulding’s Official Live Performance video for “Brightest Blue” to coincide with her highly-anticipated fourth studio album Brightest Blue, out now via Interscope. An additional Official Live Performance of her track “New Heights” will premiere on Monday, July 20th. Directed for Vevo by the acclaimed Georgio Testi, the performances were shot using a brand new XR “mixed reality” technology which seamlessly mixes actual camera footage with CGI content in real time.

Vevo’s Official Live Performance series connects artists to their audiences at scale. Through close collaboration with the artist, Vevo creates visuals to give fans a unique take on the original songs. J Balvin, Khalid, Future, Karol G and Miley Cyrus have all worked collaboratively with Vevo to produce visually stunning original video content offering fans a different retrospect on their music.

“We are thrilled to work with Ellie Goulding and spotlight her incredible new tracks with a never-before used technology in AR/XR. We have a long standing relationship with Ellie and it was great collaborate so closely and creatively with her on this Official Live Performance,” shares JP Evangelista, SVP, Content, Programming & Marketing. “We hope that these intimate live performances take her fans on an immersive journey, giving fans a different visualization for these tracks.”

Goulding’s new album includes a number of recent releases alongside a plethora of new songs, with the album being set in two parts, “Brightest Blue” (executively produced by Ellie Goulding & Joe Kearns) and “EG.0” respectively. Across the two halves Goulding enlisted a number of writers and producers to help create the finished product, including the likes of Tobias Jesso Jr., Starsmith, ILYA, serpentwithfeet, Patrick Wimberly (of Chairlift) and Jim Eliot amongst others.

Crowned Variety’s 2019 “Decade” Hitmaker celebrating her decade of hits, Goulding’s incredible career to date has seen her receive two GRAMMY Award nominations, a Golden Globe nomination, two BRIT Awards, sales of 17 million albums and over 135 million singles, and 22 billion streams worldwide. All three of her albums have been certified platinum in addition to her 19 RIAA certified singles. With over 50 million followers combined on her social platforms, she also earned YouTube’s Diamond Award, celebrating ten million subscribers on her YouTube channel (and over five billion views globally). She also holds Billboard’s Hot 100 record for the most entries on the chart this century by a British female vocalist. A global ambassador for UN Environment, Goulding is also a noted campaigner and philanthropist speaking regularly on the climate emergency, and a patron of The Marylebone Project in London, focusing on fundraising to end homelessness.
