Doll represents John’s legendary 1975 Dodger Stadium concert

Barbie pays tribute Elton John with his own doll, as John celebrates the 45th anniversary of his legendary 1975 Dodger Stadium concert that broke records for the largest single concert ever at that time. The Elton John Barbie doll shines bright in the glittery top and flared denim embellished with John’s sparkling initials from that performance. Her “Elton”-embossed bomber jacket features star-printed sleeves and a rainbow-striped hem. Nods to the artist’s iconic style include rainbow-striped platform boots, a purple bowler hat and sparkly, pink-tinted sunglasses.

The Elton John Barbie doll is a bold collaboration that personifies two cultural icons and honors the extraordinary artistry and musicianship of a stellar performer. John teamed with Mattel to create the officially-licensed product from start to finish.

“Barbie is an icon in her own right, so having her pay tribute to my work and personal style is a real honor,” John tells Rolling Stone. “I hope that she inspires fans everywhere to fearlessly pursue their own dreams and limitless potential.”

The doll runs $50 via Mattel’s website and Walmart and includes a doll stand and Certificate of Authenticity in a collectible box.
