The video and cap pay homage to the rapper’s hometown
Eminem has released the video for “Detroit Vs. Everybody” on VEVO. The video features Em and collaborators Royce da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, DeJ Loaf and Trick Trick in various scenes throughout Detroit, including a downtown rooftop.
The track is one of 12 new recordings that appears on the Shady XV double album, celebrating 15 years of Shady Records. The second disc is a compilation of greatest hits from the label’s back catalog.
To coincide with the single, the label has teamed up with New Era to produce an extremely limited edition New Era Strapback baseball cap for charity.
The cap is embroidered with “Shady Vs Everybody” on the front, and “Detroit Vs Everybody” embroidered on the side. The crown of the cap is made of 100% wool, and features a suede brim and leather strap with a metal clasp on the back.
Running $99 each, all proceeds of this sale will benefit the Marshall Mathers Foundation, Eminem’s organization for at-risk youth in Michigan.
