Pharrell, Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz & more have donated sneakers to the cause

Eminem and StockX, the world’s first online “stock market of things” for high-demand consumer products, have partnered to launch a hurricane relief campaign to aid victims of recent events in Texas and Florida.

For each $10 donation made through September 25th at 11:59 pm PDT, the donor will receive one entry for the chance to win one pair of 17 rare or expensive sneakers donated by Eminem and other celebrities, including Pharrell, LeBron James, Mark Wahlberg, Snoop Dogg, Virgil Abloh, DJ Skee, Steve Aoki, 2 Chainz, Don C, Jon Buscemi, Karlie Kloss, Gary Vaynerchuk, Stadium Goods, Emily Oberg, Russell Wilson, and Steph Curry.

Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers Foundation will match funds up to $250,000 total. All proceeds will go to the Greater Houston Community Foundation and Team Rubicon in support of the Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief efforts.

“As we watched the tragic events unfold in Florida and Texas, we wanted to leverage our position as a leading marketplace for luxury consumer goods, to turn luxury items into true necessities,” states Josh Luber, CEO and Co-Founder of StockX. “We’re also fortunate to have some famous friends – friends who immediately and unequivocally stepped up to help – and capped by Eminem’s generous decision to match, we are poised to raise a significant amount of money for hurricane relief.”

Nearly $27k has been raised as of this writing. Anyone can donate, but only residents of the United States who are 18 years or older are eligible to win a pair of sneakers. Winners will be notified via email by September 26th at 5 pm EDT.

Founded in 2003 by Eminem, the Marshall Mathers Foundation primarily provides funding for organizations focused on at-risk youth outreach and urban improvement throughout the United States, with an emphasis on programs based in southeastern Michigan. Through its work with Carhartt, Inc. and Michigan State University’s Community Music School – Detroit, the foundation has helped create and fund The Verses Project. The first program of its kind, The Verses Project’s mission is to foster youth literacy through songwriting and music creation.
