The annual benefit concert will support Tulane scholarship programs & the city of New Orleans
The Tipping Point, the celebrated benefit concert held each year in support of scholarships at Tulane University and the City of New Orleans, will take place at the Orpheum Theater on November 8th for its eighth edition. Executive produced by RWE Partners, the event boasts an impressive all-star lineup, headlined by Emmylou Harris, Grace Potter, blues prodigy Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and New Orleans icons Jon Cleary, Anders Osborne, and Ivan Neville.
The evening will also feature the musical direction of Grammy-winning guitarist and producer Eric Krasno, alongside the New Orleans-based rhythm section of George Porter Jr., Raymond Weber, Tony Hall, and the Dumpstaphunk Horns, creating a celebration of music deeply rooted in the spirit of the Big Easy.
The Tipping Point is the only concert of its kind in the country that supports a university. Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships that enable students to attend Tulane University regardless of their economic background, while also contributing to the vitality of the city of New Orleans
As producers of some of the most impactful music charity events in the US, including Love Rocks NYC and The Soho Sessions, RWE Partners—led by Williamson and Nicole Rechter—have raised over $60 million for various nonprofits. Their expertise in bringing together world-class talent for excellent causes has made The Tipping Point a cornerstone of Tulane University’s philanthropic efforts.
Since its inception, The Tipping Point has become a signature fundraising and cultural event for both Tulane University and the New Orleans music scene. Past performers include Warren Haynes, Joe Bonamassa, Stephen Marley, Lukas Nelson, and Mavis Staples, among many others. Each year, the concert draws some of the biggest names in music, united in their support of Tulane’s efforts to provide educational opportunities to future leaders.
