Wright chats about her new album and “Take It Like Man” 30th anniversary

Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer Michelle Wright releases her 10th studio record, Milestone, on August 26th via BFD/Audium Nashville. The album was produced by Bob Funk and features her latest single, “Small Town,” released in June.

Wright is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of her massive hit, “Take It Like A Man,” that catapulted Wright into a US country star. The song was featured on her sophomore Arista Records album, Now & Then, which has been certified 2x Platinum from the RIAA. The song marked Wright as the first Canadian-born artist in the modern era of country music to have a Top 10 hit in America, a No. 1 video on CMT and to win a major US music industry award.

Wright joins us to chat about her new record which features a re-recorded version of “Take It Like A Man” with several of the musicians who recorded the original track in 1992.
