Farriss has embarked on a solo career
Earlier this year, prolific INXS singer/songwriter Andrew Farriss released his self-titled debut solo record. After decades of producing and writing songs for others, Farriss has embarked on a solo career. A credit to his remarkable versatility, his self-titled debut album is stunningly Americana and features a collection of eclectic songs with a unique blend of rhythm, roots, and country influences.
His first offering from the project “Come Midnight” was released in 2019 and topped the country charts on radio stations all over Australia. His follow-up single “Good Momma Bad” was released at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2020. Now, in 2022, Andrew is introducing the project in the US.
Farriss is best known for being a member of the rock group INXS, which is 45 years with a variety of reissues and celebrations. The group will release a 40th anniversary edition of their global breakthrough album Shabooh Shoobah in October with a deluxe digital box set. They’ll also release INXS Recorded Live At The US Festival 1983, featuring a previously unreleased concert on CD and 180-gram vinyl LP. Five classic videos have also been concerted to HD and more.
