Several stars chat with us on the red carpet

Tonight (Mar 31st), Joni Mitchell is being awarded the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song during an all-star tribute concert. The lineup will include performances by James Taylor, Brandi Carlile, Annie Lennox, Herbie Hancock, Cyndi Lauper, Marcus Mumford, Graham Nash, Diana Krall, Angelique Kidjo and Ledisi.

Joni Mitchell: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song premieres tonight (Fri, Mar 31st) at 9 pm ET/PT on PBS, PBS.org and the PBS App as part of the co-produced Emmy Award-winning music series. It will also be broadcast to US Department of Defense locations around the world via the American Forces Network.

Matt Bailey attended the TV taping earlier this month in Washington, DC and had a chance to chat with Taylor, Carlile, Lennox, Nash, Kidjo and others arriving on the red carpet.
