Warwick chats about her seven decade career

Dionne Warwick has transcended generations as an R&B and gospel artist for nearly seven decades. The legendary performer has sold more than 100 million records globally and is one of the most-charted vocalists in history with 80 singles making the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Thirty-nine of those songs are with Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Warwick has a lot on her plate at 82 years young. Her highly rated CNN documentary, Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over, is now streaming on HBO Max. Narrated mostly in Ms. Warwick’s own velvet-toned voice, Don’t Make Me Over blends archival footage with personal photographs and newsreels, telling the story of her music and life, including the backstories behind her many hit songs.

She also has a collaborative gospel album expected later this year. The album’s first single, “Peace Like A River” features Dolly Parton in their first-ever duet together.

Fans can also see Warwick on the road throughout the US and Europe this year.

Warwick chats with us about her career, the documentary, her gospel album and more.
