Episode 74 – Mark ‘Weissguy’ Weiss

Weissguy is an 80s rock photographer

The 80s was the decade that rocked and photographer Mark “Weissguy” Weiss was there with a camera to photograph all of the action! From Van Halen to Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and more, Weissguy has it all laid out in his book The Decade That Rocked: The Photography Of Mark “Weissguy” Weiss, which is one of the fastest selling music books of 2020 since its release last June.

With 700+ photos, brand new interviews, and stories from Weissguy himself, The Decade that Rocked is a monument to the photography, friendships, and legacy of an artist that helped define one of rock’s most iconic eras. Rob Halford contributes the book’s Foreword while rock historian and SiriusXM and TV host Eddie Trunks writes the Afterword.

Weissguy is our guest this week on The Music Universe Podcast to give us verbal accounts on how it all went down including discussing the many covers of Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet.
