Episode 85 – Def Leppard’s Rick Allen

Allen is making in-person appearances at three Wentworth Gallery locations in Florida

Rick Allen, legendary drummer of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Def Leppard, will be making very special appearances next week at three Wentworth Galleries in South Florida to celebrate his latest creations: artwork built utilizing drumsticks and rhythm to dictate abstract visuals on canvas. This new and extraordinary art collection houses originals, limited editions, the painted drum series, mixed media originals, plus the “Legends Series,” featuring new portraits of Eddie Van Halen, Kurt Cobain and Johnny Cash. A portion of each sale will benefit his Project Resiliency where for over the last 12 years he and his wife Lauren Monroe have worked passionately with veterans from Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. Allen and Wentworth Galleries will donate a portion of each and every acquisition to benefit the Foundation.

Allen debuted his art in 2012 with more than 300 pieces that quickly sold out. A second series quickly followed the next year in which he forged a relationship with America’s leading fine art retailer Wentworth Galleries.

Allen will appear on Thursday, May 20th at Wentworth Gallery Las Olas; Friday, May 21st at Wentworth Gallery at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and also on Saturday, May 22nd at the Wentworth Gallery in Boca Raton Town Center Mall. These events are open to the public and follow the latest CDC recommendations.

Allen joins us to discuss the art project, his career, future Def Leppard music, and the fate of The Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts that’s slated to kick off June 19th in Nashville. Full video is below.
